Austin Modern Home Tour

Wow, I wish I lived closer to Austin, for many reasons. But mainly because this Saturday (Jan. 30th) there is an amazing Modern Home Tour that I would love, love to attend. Check out some of these gorgeous houses. Some of the homes are even FOR SALE! If anyone attends, please shoot me an email and make me even more jealous.

Mini Countryman

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love my Mini Cooper. Well, I am afraid to say that I may have found another love in the Mini Countryman (at least I am keeping my devotion in the family). Don't get me wrong, my affinity will always be to the Cooper. However in certain cases the Cooper just isn't very practical. "Enter Stage Left"....the Mini Countryman.

It's four-door, with optional all-wheel drive. The interior has a track system down the middle. "The Mini Center Rail may be fitted with holders for entertainment and telecommunication devices, cup holders, a case for sunglasses ... as well as center armrests held safely and comfortably in position. The holders and storage bins placed on the center rail may then be moved forward and backward to any desired position."

The Countryman is Mini's version of a Crossover. One news article I read compared it to a small Porsche Cayene. This car is awesome! Reports say it will be available in the US by 2011. There are only a few leaked photos online and a teaser video. I can't wait to test drive one.

Blogger Convention - Is there such a thing?

There is! And its happening right now in Salt Lake City (Jan 21-23). It's mainly a design conference which gathers a bunch of the most creative people in the blogsphere. From the website, "where design-minded folks - bloggers, lifestyle sites and the companies that want to connect with them - get together to network, discuss theory and love on all things design." Some of my fav bloggers are speakers. It would be awesome to attend the conference next year!

Castor Oil

Recently I learned of a facial cleanser that involved EVOO and Castor Oil (thanks VIP). At first I was skeptical but since I am always curious about new beauty products I went out and bought a bottle of Castor Oil and made a little home mixture. The Castor Oil is supposed to help stimulate collagen and elastin for wrinkle treatment. My skin is a lot more supple and not as dry.

Since then, I have come to learn about all of Castor Oil's wonderful benefits. The girls over at Makeupalley recommend using Castor Oil for growing your eyelashes longer. I have started to try this, its only been a few days so I haven't seen any results yet.

Mystery Google

Mystery Google is a new website that looks like a normal search engine but you don't get back what you searched for - you get what the person before you searched for. Very weird. I searched 'urban planner' and got back 'quick turn around'. People are apparently using this site to conduct scavenger hunts.

Speck CandyShell Iphone Case

I might possibly have the best boyfriend on the planet. He just came back from CES with three Speck Candy Shells for me. Speck, in my opinion makes the best cases for the iPhone. Because as the name denotes, its a hard shell with a soft inside. So the case protects the phone without hindering the great aesthetics of the iPhone.

Marc Jacobs Tweed Purse

Ok, this purse is a bit of a "hot mess" yet I am oddly drawn to it. It's very snazzy and potentially could be incorporated into many outfits. The coolest part is that the leather strap detaches, so you can wear it as a shoulder bag and a clutch.

We (women) have all been there...a night out wearing beautiful heels, but by the end of the evening your feet are inevitably killing you. Well now there is a great solution. Sex and the City 2

I have loved SATC for a long time. Mainly for the beautiful fashion designs. The first SATC movie did not disappoint. The new movie comes out May 2010 and I hopes its chock full of more wonderful pieces.
