Hotel Glamour

The Establishment Hotel in Sydney, Australia has gorgeous modern interiors. The pop of fuchsia against the neutrals is very nice. I think part of me would live in a hotel if given the chance.

Favorite Things - February

The Gap Ultimate Cardigan. I picked up the grey and brown colors recently and have been living in them ever since. They are very soft and comfy. The grosgrain ribbon really makes this cardigan stand out. It's on sale right now too.

Jello Mousse Temptations. These little nuggets of goodness are only 60 calories and sugar free. I add a little dollop of whip cream to the top. They are the perfect low calorie snack.

I'm Inspired

First, I want to say thanks to sfgirlbybay for developing the brilliant idea, that is Blog it Forward. Also to Piewacket for the introduction.

300 bloggers were asked the question, "What inspires you?"

I am inspired by....Cities. The energy, sights, sounds, architecture, food, sidewalks, all of it inspires me. I especially love cities while viewed from the air.

I am inspired by....The Color Red. I feel immediately energized when I wear it.

I am inspired by...Mid Century Modern. The houses, the furniture and the interiors is simply amazing to me. Form and function, wins in my book every time.

I am inspired by...James Bond Movies. The fast cars, exotic locations and action scenes, which are all part of the movie legacy, inspires me to travel, kick-butt (metaphorically) and generally enjoy life to the fullest.

It is now my pleasure to Blog it Forward. Take it away Pink O'Clock. Pink O'Clock and I blog about what we love. It's so nice to have a forum like blogging where we can share our passions with others.

Hot Women Chefs

From Top to Bottom:
1. Casey Thompson - Finalist on Top Chef Miami, she used to be the Executive Chef at Shinsei in Dallas. (We just recently ate at Shinsei and it was very good!)

2. Bethenny Frankel - Many people are familiar with her Real Housewife show, but before the show she attended the Natural Gourmet Cooking Institute and is the creator of the Skinny Girl Margarita.

3. Cat Cora - You may have seen her on Iron Chef cooking against some of the top chefs in the business. She’s the executive chef at Bon Appetit.

4. Giada De Laurentiis - Lots of people know who Giada is. She is gorgeous and Italian!

5. Padma Lakshmi - Super hot Top Chef. Enough said! She has her own jewelry line on top of being an accomplished chef.

6. Rachel Ray - the next Oprah, actually I like her better than Oprah. I recently tried this recipe and it came out so delicious! Her 30-minute meals are life savers.

Gensler Headquarters - LEED Silver Building

Having recently toured a bland office building, I can appreciate the modern and sustainable interiors of the Gensler Dallas office headquarters. I would love to work in an office space like this every day. I truly believe I would be a more productive employee.

The space was recently awarded a LEED Silver level certification for Commercial Interiors. The office consists of two distinct wings of combined open space workstation areas, enclosed offices, conference rooms, storage areas, break areas and public reception areas. The flooring is reclaimed teak along with reclaimed wood furniture. Organized around straightforward planning criteria, the sustainable interior is designed to provide maximum flexibility and clarity. A continuous axial layout, threading through the interior environment, provides strong defined circulation paths terminating at natural light filled intersecting nodes.

Home Project - Repaint Mirror

before

after

Lately, I have been on a bit of a home interiors kick. I am completely addicted to HGTV. I decided my old mirror needed a revamp. It was given to me by my grandparents so I love the old world charm of it but did not love the brassy color. So I painted it silver. It definitely looks a lot better now and matches the other accessories in my living room.

Longchamp - Kate Moss

I am really liking these Longchamp bags that Kate Moss has designed! Specifically the Gloucester in red and black (top photo). The bags will hit stores on February 11th. I definitely want one.

I can't tell if the red bag in this picture is a Longchamp or LV Sofia Coppola bag? I think its a LV bag. Either way I am loving both bags!

Tea Forte

I received a box of Tea Forte for Christmas. I have quite the collection of different types of teas so I just now opened the box. Usually tea time for me is about 3:00 pm, when I need some caffeine or a distraction from my computer. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. Not only is the tea very good, the tea bag or "infuser" is the coolest design I have ever seen. The tea is exquisitely packaged in a silk infuser with a tiny cotton stem and a small tea leaf attached at the top. The infuser maintains its form making it very easy to throw away once the tea is done brewing.

I Won a PONO Necklace!

My fellow blogger, Nikki, at Add Bubbles to Taste, recently conducted a contest for the beautiful necklace above. All you had to do was comment on her post and follow PONO on Twitter. Well, to my great surprise...I WON! I already have many outfits in mind to showcase PONO's Counterpoint necklace. I love the emerald colors. I promise to post pictures when I receive it.
