The Sartorialist and His Girlfriend

Most people are familiar with the Sartorialist, aka Scott Schuman.  His blog was named one of the, "Top 100 Design Influences", by Time Magazine. His brilliantly styled fashion photography chronicles International street style. I just learned that he has a girlfriend, and she is equally talented and fashionable. Her name is Garance Dore. Their blogs are what brought them together at an event in Paris. Love!

According to NBC New York, they are working on a show together. The premise will likely center on their  photo documentation of daily fashionistas in International locales and in New York.

*I wonder what body language experts would say about her repeated poise with one arm draped over his shoulders??

The Ghost Writer Movie

I watched The Ghost Writer with Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan the other night. It was a good movie, if you like political thrillers. I was particularly interested in the architeture and interior design of the house that Pierce lived in. I really loved the art showcased in the house too. The movie plot was dark and twisty and the set reflected this theme.

The interiors were designed by Walter Knoll. From the website, "The luxury property is full of sofas, chairs and furniture from the executive office range: CEOO, FK, FK 86 Lounge, Foster, Gio and Living Landscape. Prestigious and timeless – the perfect setting for the new conspiracy thriller from the award-winning cult director."

Olivia Palermo

I detested Olivia's attitude on the reality show, The City. She seemed so bitchy and backstabby. I can't help myself though, I love her style. I am convinced that this girl cannot take a bad photo. I wonder though, does she ever leave the house in jeans and a t-shirt?

The tall leggy model in the photos with her is Bianca Brandolini, an Italian socialite and actress. Girlfriend of Fiat-heir Lapo Elkann.

Tumblr

I know I am probably late to the game on this one, but I am enthralled nonetheless. I just discovered the greatness that is tumblr. Tumblr is another way to blog. It is a visual blog platform. I love how inspired I get clicking through the various collections.

Michelle Monaghan Necklace

I recently watched the movie Made of Honor with Michelle Monaghan and Patrick Dempsey. I think Michelle is super cute and the necklace she wears in the movie caught my eye. It's a simple, yet sophisticated design of intertwined circles. I wanted it! Apparently I am not the only person who liked the necklace because a quick interweb search came up with a lot of results.

The original designer of the necklace is Zoe Chicco. The mixed circle design is available on her website, but for something I will not wear everyday I though the price was too high.

Mademoiselle Jewelry is currently selling a similar version of the necklace. I wasn't crazy about the three circles though. The original design with two circles, of differing sizes, was what made it unique.

Etsy to the rescue! I found the perfect design and price tag from the seller roundabout. I can't wait to get it in the mail.
