Blog For Digs - My Childhood Bedroom Was...

Blog for Digs is the brainchild of Claudia Clobes, in support of Dwell with Dignity. It's a fundraising effort to raise awareness and money for the non-profit group that pairs designers and volunteers to provide safe and well designed spaces for families dealing with homelessness and poverty. The project involves bloggers describing their childhood bedrooms. Donations for Dwell with Dignity are accepted here.

My Childhood Bedroom

My childhood bedroom was constantly changing and evolving. I was very into having a themed room. The Smurfs, Care Bears, Pound Puppies and Barbie were huge when I was growing up. One year I painted my entire bedroom Smurf blue. My mom and I found Smurf sheets at Kmart and she made me curtains to match the bed! Looking back I realize that my bedroom was a complete reflection upon my adolescent moods. Pretty cool that my mom supported my creativity.

I wish my bedroom had a more cohesive design and matching furniture. It may have been best to stick with one color and just change the accessories when I wanted to. I think pink is the perfect color for teenage girls.

Please check out the other bloggers who are participating in this worthy blog crawl. Thanks to Not Your Average Ordinary for the introduction. Tomorrow's blogger is the lovely Brooke, from Pure and Noble.

Favorite Things - December

Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted about "my favorite things". So sorry for the delay. Let's jump right in.

Tom Ford Black Orchid Perfume. It's divine! Top notes are black truffle, ylang ylang, bergamot and blackcurrant. Heart notes are said to be composed of "...dark, tempting Florals and rich Fruit Accords. Base notes are described as being composed of "...Patchouli, Incense and Vetiver. Vanilla Tears add a fluid creaminess to warm Balsam and smooth Sandalwood".

Schwarzkopf Osis Dust It. This hair product is amazing and keeps my side swept bangs in place much better than hairspray does. It's a mattifying powder, it also adds volume too.

Nine West Mary Ellen Boots. These boots have jazzed up a number of my winter outfits. I am really loving the color grey this winter.

Citizens of Humanity Amber. I think I have found the HOLY GRAIL of jeans. These jeans are the perfect fit, perfect wash and super soft.

Whooga UGG Boots

I am not a fan of cold weather. However I am a fan of cold weather fashion. I love breaking out the scarfs, jackets and boots as soon as the temps drop just a little.  My UGG boots are the first item to come out of storage. They are so cute and comfy.

Whooga UGG Boots UK is a boutique brand of UGG boots. They add an extra special layer of Thermofleece which provides more warmth. I will take all the heat I can get for me toes and feet! I am loving this grey pair. The weave material adds a pop of texture to the boot.

You can win a pair of boots by signing up for their newsletter here. (Who doesn't love free?) In case you don't want to wait for the drawing, they are offering a 10% discount this week, use code, 1194PINK.
