Just Married

I love the spontaneous "just married" look on these couples. They are so beautiful and full of hope.

St. Germain Elderflower

I am obsessed with this new liquer. St. Germain has bottled perfection. It is an artisanal liqueur made from rare wild elderflower blossoms that grow in the foothills of the Alps. According to St. Germain, "the starry white flowers are gathered by 40-50 men pedaling the Alpen French countryside picking the flowers that will be distilled into this intoxicating nectar. Blended with a small amount of citrus and natural cane sugar to accentuate the subtle flavor of the elderflowers, the resulting liqueur is delicate and balanced with fresh floral aromas and flavors and hints of pear, apricot and grapefruit zest." The elderflower herb also has medicinal properties.

I mix vodka, soda and elderflower into the perfect cocktail. The liquer has the most distinct taste, very light and refreshing. It's also perfect in champagne.

The St. Germain Cocktail (Signature cocktail)
Method: POUR wine and then St. Germain into ice-filled glass. TOP with soda (or champagne), lightly stir and serve with straws.
2 shot(s) Sauvignon Blanc wine

May is National Bike Month.

In honor of National Bike Month, I bought a bike! It is by far one of the best purchases I have made for myself in a long, long time. At first I thought I wanted a cruiser because of the comfy seat and cool designs. However I realized I didn't want to be limited to only "cruise" mode. I need different speeds so I could use the bike for travel around the neighborhood and for exercise. After some research I settled on a Ladies Schwinn.

I am lucky, I have the best trail system in my neighborhood. Riding a bike is such a fantastic way to explore your city, neighborhood, and surroundings in general.

HP Touchpad

I have two laptops for my two jobs. Confusing? Yes! Who really wants to carry two laptops? Especially when one of them is ginormous. I am not exaggerating, it's a beast. Well of course it makes sense to replace one of the laptops with a Tablet. Even though I own quite a few apple products (iPhone, Nano, iPod) I do not care for the functionality of the iPad. I need the Tablet to act as a replacement to my laptop which means that I need Microsoft products on it. Mainly I will use the Tablet for email and the Internet. So I have been waiting while the the rest of the electronics world plays catch up. I think my waiting has paid off. Early reports have nothing but praise for the HP Touchpad. It comes out in June, cost is rumored to be about $699. I hope this is the answer to my "two laptop" dilemma.
