Review - Old Navy Rock Star Jeggings

These are seriously the best jeans! I know, I know....it's crazy. Old Navy?? For the last ten years I have strictly been a Seven or a Citizens girl. But I saw these jeans on other bloggers and in person, and was impressed enough to try them for myself.

I love that there is no design whatsoever on the back pockets. The wash is fantastic. They come in red and black as well. They don't seem to stretch out after wearing them a few hours like other jegging type jeans tend to do. I will tell you that I had to size up, they run small. I hope they do at least....or maybe I need to hit the treadmill...eek!

High Low - Color Block Bag

I always prefer leather to "leatherette" and at $425 the DKNY tote is affordable. But I think color blocking is a trend and it may not last past this year. So I am on the fence about these two bags. High or Low? Which one would you buy?

Currently Coveting - DKNY Watch

My friend had this DKNY watch on the other day when we met for lunch. It's stunning! It's on the wishlist.

I would rock the watch with this type of arm party.

Review - Foundation

I currently have 5 different foundations in my makeup drawer. Some may say this is excessive, and some may say this is a small amount. Before I got married last month, I went on a quest to find the best foundation, which is why I have 5. Typically I only have 1 or 2 foundations and I rotate them depending upon situations. So which one is my favorite? Who are the winners and who are the losers in the foundation game? Let's review!

1. By Terry - I bought this product based on the recommendation from the Beauty Snob. She raved about it. But I am on the fence. It's pricey - the most expensive in the bunch at $58. The application is clever. You push the product up from the bottom and its applied with the built-in brush. However I still need to use an application sponge to apply it thoroughly so to me its another step that I would rather avoid. I do love the finish, its very silky and powdery. I don't love the coverage. I don't think it covers some of my natural redness well. It does smell good.

2. Make Up For Ever HD - I bought this foundation based on a friend's recommendation, and I heard good things in general. Picked it up at Sephora so I could make sure the color was perfect. Make Up For Ever definitely has an amazing color selection. It lasts all day and creates a very flawless face. The coverage was lighter then what I was expecting but heavier than I prefer for most days. It has staying power, especially combined with a primer.

3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - I love using this foundation in the summer and on days when I don't want to feel like I am wearing makeup, mainly on the weekends. You know, when you need to run out and get groceries but don't feel like putting on a full face? This is the perfect product for those days. I didn't purchase the oil-free and regretted it.

4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation - This foundation is just "ok". Nothing awe inspiring about it. The coverage and color selection is good. But it makes my skin look dry and flat. You definitely need to put moisturizer on before using this foundation. I think the price doesn't live up to the hype either.

5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind - For a drugstore foundation this works very well. It has a very nice, natural finish. The application was easy and the coverage was good - easily buildable. I don't think it actually "rewinded" any parts of my face, but for the price it's a solid foundation.

The winner is Make Up For Ever. The loser is Laura Mercier Silk Foundation. I will definitely repurchase the Maybelline again.

Copycat - Failure to Launch

I love SJP's wardrobe in the movie Failure to Launch. It's one of the few movies that I own, so I've had the opportunity to really study the wardrobe. The costume designer for the movie is Ellen Mirojnick. She has an impressive resume including - Basic Instinct, Twister, and the new version of Wall Street. I like the way she dressed Sarah in the movie, very classic and casual.

The outfit Sarah wears in the last scene of Failure to Launch has always been my favorite, especially the white jacket. I found a similar white jacket from Madewell, on sale for $49. This jacket is the perfect closet staple. I am buying mine now!

Favorites - Almay Makeup Eraser Sticks

These are wonderful! I mean - how many times have you tried to clean the waterproof eyeliner and mascara from those small little crevices around your eyes? My normal makeup remover pads just never seem to quite do the job. These are also perfect for touch-ups. Because inevitably my mascara or eye shadow smudges throughout the day. These little buddies are amazing, perfect even!

What to Wear - OU vs TX

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

This weekend is a HUGE weekend here in Dallas. It's the annual football game between Oklahoma and Texas. My favorite part of the game, is that its at the Cotton Bowl, which is inside Fair Park. Which also happens to be the same location as the Texas State Fair. Football and fair food....its doesn't get any better in my opinion.

My husband is a Sooner so I cheer for Oklahoma. Go Sooners!
